Consent to the use of cookies.

For our website to function properly we use cookies. To obtain your valid consent for the use and storage of cookies in the browser you use to access our website and to properly document this we use a consent management platform: CookieFirst. This technology is provided by Digital Data Solutions BV, Plantage Middenlaan 42a, 1018 DH, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Website: https://cookiefirst.com referred to as CookieFirst.


When you access our website, a connection is established with CookieFirst’s server to give us the possibility to obtain valid consent from you to the use of certain cookies. CookieFirst then stores a cookie in your browser in order to be able to activate only those cookies to which you have consented and to properly document this. The data processed is stored until the predefined storage period expires or you request to delete the data. Certain mandatory legal storage periods may apply notwithstanding the aforementioned.


CookieFirst is used to obtain the legally required consent for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).


Data processing agreement

We have concluded a data processing agreement with CookieFirst. This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that data of our website visitors is only processed in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

Smart AIS processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

- Other personal data that you actively provide, for example by creating a profile on this website, in correspondence and by telephone

- Data about your activities on our website

Special and/or sensitive personal data we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data on website visitors who are under 16 years of age, unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children's online activities to avoid collecting data on children without parental consent. For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data

Smart AIS processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- Sending you our newsletter
- Calling or emailing you if necessary to carry out our services
- To inform you about changes to our services and products
- To deliver goods and services to you
- Smart AIS analyses your behaviour on the website in order to improve the website and tailor the range of products and services to your preferences.

Automated decision-making

Smart AIS does not, on the basis of automated processing, make decisions about matters that could (significantly) affect individuals. These are decisions that are made by computer programmes or systems, without any human (e.g. an employee of Smart AIS) being involved.

How long we keep personal data

Smart AIS will not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data is collected. We use the following retention periods for the following (categories of) personal data:
- Google Analytics > Optimising Website > Maximum amount of time is 26 months.
- ActiveCampaign (email marketing) > Approaching (potential) customers > Until a person unsubscribes.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Smart AIS only discloses to third parties and only when necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.

Cookies, or similar techniques, that we use

Smart AIS uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit this website. Smart AIS uses cookies with a purely technical functionality. These ensure that the website works properly and that, for example, your preferences are remembered. These cookies are also used to make the website work properly and to optimise it. In addition, we place cookies that track your surfing behaviour so that we can offer tailored content and advertisements. On your first visit to our website, we already informed you about these cookies and asked your permission to place them. You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser to no longer store cookies. In addition, you can also delete any information previously stored via your browser settings.

View, modify or delete data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your possible consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Smart AIS and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organisation named by you. You can send a request to inspect, correct, delete or transfer your personal data or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to our privacy officer of the KH-group; privacy@khe.eu. To make sure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, erase your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks. Smart AIS would also like to inform you that you have the option of submitting a complaint to the national supervisory authority, the Personal Data Authority.

How we protect personal data

Smart AIS takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to counter abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. If you feel that your data is nevertheless not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact our privacy officer of the KH-group; privacy@khe.eu.
